Jeff was walking somewhere- and a guy selling shoes on the sidewalk waved shoes aggressively at him. Jeff sort of smirked at him, thinking, "I'm not going to buy your shoes, dude" and kept walking.
The shoe guy yelled after him: "They're new! You won't get any fungus!"

Performance Artist in Subway Tunnel
I randomly stumbled on Kalan Sherrard doing a performance in the subway tunnel from the L to the 1 at 14th St. It was sublimely bizarre!!
My favorite moment was when he blew up a green balloon and then let it fly away, then kind of crawled over to it puppeting baby-doll parts on one hand, retrieving the balloon and then doing a series of backward rolls to return to his "stage". Amazing. All the while making music with a harmonica.

Gentleman Lets Jeff in Front Door
Jeff stepped out to get a beer and a nice gentleman let him back into the front door of our apartment. So Jeff continues to walk inside, into the hall, and hears a BOOM behind him- and the guy had bumped his head on the wall and fell down "like a hot dog in a bun". A small pile of miniature liquor bottles rolled clinking out of his pocket.
Jeff went back to help him up and discovered the guy also had a cardboard box full of cupcakes.
